Our Star Ratings are very subjective and range from 1* for the poorest to 6****** for somewhere very outstanding. We would certainly recommend 3*** and higher. However our main intention is not to rank the eateries, but to give people a feel for what they are like. Also these ratings were assigned by a number of different people, without any pre-defined criteria, perhaps on just one visit. So please read the post and any comments before make up your mind, and certainly before dismissing a 2* or lower.
